Advice Grrl answered:
It sounds like you may not be inserting them far enough, mummaof3. The Smartballs should be inserted so that they sit beyond your pelvic bone (as a tampon or menstrual cup would). You haven’t said if you purchased the Original Smartballs or the Uno. If it is the Originals, your pelvic floor may not be strong enough for them yet, and you may need to try the Uno instead and build up your strength. Because the Uno is only one ball, it is also easier to insert and to sit comfortably.
Another reason that your Smartballs may be uncomfortable is if you are not using lubricant when you insert them. We recommend some water-based lubricant on the ball and on the string.
You can read more about Smartballs and how to use them here – I hope it is of some assistance.
